Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. Indonesia welcomed the ceasefire agreement between Hamas and Israel in the Gaza Strip and announced its readiness to actively support Gaza’s reconstruction following months of devastation from Israeli strikes.
“The opening of humanitarian access must be ensured immediately, and Indonesia stands ready to actively participate in the reconstruction of Gaza,” said the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in a statement posted on social media platform X on Friday (10/10/2025), as quoted by antaranews.com.
The ministry described the ceasefire as a vital step toward ending violence permanently in Gaza and urged all parties to implement the agreement in good faith. Jakarta also called on the international community to seize this momentum to revive the Middle East peace process and realize the two-state solution based on international consensus.
Indonesia expressed appreciation to the United States, Egypt, Qatar, and Türkiye for their mediation efforts in achieving the ceasefire.
