The epicenter was located inland at a depth of 24 km with coordinates 2.22°S, 139.11°E, approximately 57 km southeast of Sarmi District. The tremors were also felt in nearby regions, including Memberamo and Jayapura, which is 178 km from the epicenter, according to BMKG’s initial analysis.
