Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. The Metro Jaya Regionall Police mobilized 734 joint personnel from the police, military, and civil service on Tuesday night (13/5/2025) to combat rising street-level thuggery in the area.

“We’re deploying 534 officers in uniform and 200 undercover to target criminal behavior that’s troubling the public,” said Metro Jaya Police Operations Chief Senior Superintendent Ketut Gede Wijatmika during the Berantas Jaya 2025 operation launch in West Jakarta..

The crackdown targets five key locations, including the CNI area and Jalan Lingkar Luar Puri. 

“We’re responding to growing public concerns—this is about the state showing up where it’s needed most,” Ketut added, as quoted by antaranews.com.

West Jakarta Police Operations Chief Superintendent Tri Bayu Nugraha confirmed that all teams would converge at the CNI area as the main hotspot.
