Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. Indonesia secured one gold and one bronze medal at the 2025 Asian Canoe Confederation (ACC) sprint event held in Nanchang, China, on 9–10 May 2025.

“Our athletes Herlin Aprilin Lali and Sella Olce Monim delivered a strong performance in the women's canoe double 200 meters (WC2-200m), winning gold in 49.736 seconds—nearly a second ahead of the Paris 2024 Olympic qualifiers from China,” said a national canoe federation official in a press release issued on Tuesday (13/5/2025).

The pair also claimed bronze in the women’s canoe double 500 meters (WC2-500m), clocking 2:17.511. Gold in this event went to China's Shixiao Xu and Mengya Sun, while Vietnam took silver, according to antaranews.com.

The Indonesian team fielded six athletes (two men and four women), competing in six of 21 events. The competition featured 244 paddlers from 20 nations.

China dominated the medal tally with 14 golds, followed by Kazakhstan with five. Indonesia and Vietnam each won one gold medal.
