76 Crimes Solved by Police in NTT, Emphasized No Rooms for Criminals

inp.polri.go.id - East Nusa Tenggara. The East Nusa Tenggara (NTT) Regional Police have successfully solved dozens of street crimes across various regions in the province.

This achievement was announced at a Press Conference on the Disclosure of Street Crime Cases by the NTT Regional Police Criminal Investigation Directorate and its affiliated police units, held at the NTT Regional Police Headquarters on Thursday (6/4/2026).

In his statement the Director of Criminal Investigation of the NTT Regional Police, Senior Superintendent Sigit Haryono, explained that between January and May 2026, they have successfully uncovered 76 police reports related to various crimes occurring in the province. As a result of these disclosures, the police arrested 87 suspects and confiscated 245 pieces of evidence related to the crimes.

The cases uncovered included murder, assault, theft, robbery, motor vehicle theft, fraud, embezzlement, possession of sharp weapons, and various other crimes that caused public disturbance.

In his remarks, the NTT Regional Police Chief, Inspector General Dr. Rudi Darmoko, emphasized that this success demonstrates police's commitment to supporting the President of the Republic of Indonesia's Asta Cita program and the implementation of the Chief of Police's Precision Program.

"This success demonstrates our commitment to supporting the President of the Republic of Indonesia's Asta Cita program, the Chief of Police's Precision Program, and is also a response to various criminal acts that disturb the public," Rudi emphasized.

According to him, the various case disclosures are the result of the hard work of all personnel in maintaining security and stability in NTT.

Therefore, Rudi stated that he has instructed all of his police personnel to continue to boost law enforcement efforts against various forms of conventional crimes occurring in the community.

Closing the press conference, Rudi emphasized that the successful disclosure of these cases is clear evidence of the state's presence in providing protection to the community.
