"The foreign nationals were proven to have committed immigration violations by misusing Visa on Arrival (VoA)," said Head of the Banggai Immigration Office Yusva Aditya quoted by Antaranews, Friday (5/16/2025).

From the examination of the foreign nationals, it showed that the visas that should have been used for tourist visits were actually misused to work illegally in the work area of ​​the Banggai Immigration Office.

He said this action was a violation of Law Number 6 of 2011 concerning Immigration.

He said that the deportation process was directly monitored by the Intelligence and Immigration Enforcement team from 05.00 am until Tuesday (5/13/2025) at Soekarno-Hatta International Airport.

Yusfa emphasized that this step is a form of commitment in maintaining the order of immigration administration and state sovereignty.

"Immigration is not only about travel document services, but also being the front guard in supervising the activities of foreign citizens in the territory of Indonesia," he said.
