Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. A total of 95 Indonesian citizens have been confirmed safe following the deadly fire at Wang Fuk Court apartments in Tai Po, Hong Kong, the Indonesian Consulate General said Monday (1/12/2025).
“We estimate around 140 Indonesians lived in the complex, and 95 have been accounted for,” the consulate said in a statement, as quoted by antaranews.com.
It has not issued updated figures on Indonesians killed or injured, while 35 remain unaccounted for. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs previously reported nine fatalities and three injured Indonesians as of 30 November 2025.
Hong Kong authorities said 146 people died in the fire and 79 were seriously injured, warning that the death toll could rise as search and identification efforts continue. Police have detained 11 individuals linked to the incident.
The Foreign Ministry confirmed that the Indonesian Consultate has formed a family coordination team to assist with repatriation of victims’ remains and ensure families receive needed information.
