Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. The death toll from floods and landslides in Aceh, North Sumatra, and West Sumatra has climbed to 442, according to the National Disaster Management Agency (BNPB) on Monday (1/12/2025).
“The total number of missing persons across the three provinces has reached 402,” BNPB Chief Suharyanto said, as cited by antaranews.com
In North Sumatra, fatalities rose to 217 after joint SAR teams recovered more victims previously reported missing. The dead and missing are spread across Central Tapanuli, South Tapanuli, Sibolga, Tapanuli Utara, Humbang Hasundutan, Pakpak Barat, Padang Sidempuan, Deli Serdang, and Nias. Displacement remains severe, with more than 18,000 evacuees registered across multiple districts.
Aceh reported 96 deaths and 75 missing persons, with evacuees reaching 62,000 households across 11 districts.
West Sumatra recorded 129 deaths, 118 missing, and over 77,000 displaced across Agam, Padang Panjang, Padang, Padang Pariaman, Tanah Datar, Pasaman, Solok, and Pesisir Selatan.
