DA has been detained and is undergoing legal proceedings at the South Jakarta Sub-regional Metro Police.

"The perpetrator, identified as DA, is currently detained and undergoing legal proceedings at the South Jakarta Sub-regional Metro Police," said Head of Public Relations for the South Jakarta Sub-regional Metro Police, Police Senior Inspector Joko Adi, to reporters in Jakarta on Monday (10/5/2026).

Joko confirmed the alleged child molestation incident that occurred on Gotong Royong street, Kebayoran Baru, South Jakarta.

However, the police have not yet disclosed the details of the chronology of the incident or the identity of the victim. This is to protect the rights and protection of the child involved in the case.

According to Joko, DA is currently undergoing legal proceedings at the South Jakarta Metro Police. The case is being handled by the Women and Children Protection Unit (PPA) of the South Jakarta Metro Police Criminal Investigation Unit.

Investigators are still investigating the case, including uncovering the sequence of events and confirming the alleged crime committed by DA.

The police also reminded the public not to disseminate the identity of the child victim, including her name, photo, address, or other personal information that could reveal her identity.

Previously, information about the alleged molestation circulated on social media. The information stated that the incident occurred at a business premises on Jalan Gotong Royong.

The police asked the public not to take action against any parties suspected of involvement and to fully entrust the handling of the case to law enforcement.
