A Victim of KM Ladang Pertiwi Has Been Identified by the Authorities

"Identified through primary data, by identifying the teeth and fingerprints, as well as secondary data, namely property," said Asep in his written statement, Sunday (5/6/2022). The woman is a resident of Pamalikang Island, Sabaru Village, Kalukuang Masalima District, Pangkep Regency, with an age of about 70-75 years. "The body was received by the Deputy Regent of Pangkep and then handed over to the family for burial in Pangkep Regency," he said. With the identification of Rahama, a total of three bodies of the victims of the KM Ladang Pertiwi accident have been identified, with the previous identification of Siti Hajrah and Asni. "The number of passengers is 50 people. 31 of them have survived. We have received an information that 4 people died in this accident and just 3 of them have been identified, while 15 people are still being searched," he said. Previously, KM Ladang Pertiwi 02 sank on Thursday, May 12, 2022 about 10 nautical miles (nm) in the waters of the Malacca strait. KM Ladang Pertiwi sank in the waters of the Makassar Strait after departing from Paotere People's Harbor, Makassar City, to Kalmas Island, Pangkajene Islands Regency, on Wednesday. The wooden motorboat, according to the local Syahbandar, does not have a permit to transport passengers and goods, but only has a license to catch fish. The police have also named the captain and the owner of the ship as suspects. Both were proven to be negligence that caused the sinking of the ship.
