inp.polri.go.id – The planned demonstration to commemorate World Labor Day, every May 1, 2022, will be held on May 12 and 14. On May 12, a labor union led by Andi Gani Nua Wea will held a demonstration. Meanwhile, on May 14, it will be the labor union led by Said Iqbal who’s going to rally. Of course, Police will not prohibit demonstrations, which are permissible under the prevailing laws. The police will definitely oversee the rally. However, the Police hope that the demonstration will be carried out in a good way, so that it does not turn into anarchy and damaged public facilities. According to a communications expert, Rahmat Edi Irawan, the demonstration, which is too close to Eid al-Fitr, doesn't feel right in the process of exchanging messages. "The halal bi-halal atmosphere filled with demonstrations can actually get a negative reaction from the community. They can actually become antipathy to the rally and presence of the unions or laborers," said Rahmat.
