Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. The Mobile Brigade (Brimob) of Aceh Regional Police has begun cleaning flood-damaged schools in Aceh Tamiang, Aceh, to accelerate the resumption of teaching and learning activities after recent flash floods.

On Monday (22/12/2025), Brimob officers were deployed to remove thick mud from classrooms, teachers’ rooms, and school yards at an Islamic junior high school in Kuala Simpang. The operation involved manual equipment such as shovels, hoes, and water pushers due to limited access for heavy machinery.

“Our priority is to clean classrooms and essential school facilities so students can return to school as soon as possible,” said First Brigadier Kamal, a commander of the Brimob team, as reported by antaranews.com.

He explained that mud accumulation was particularly severe in staff offices and several classrooms, requiring step-by-step removal before final cleaning could be completed.

In addition to the Kuala Simpang school, Brimob teams have also assisted in cleaning other public facilities, including an elementary school, mosques, bridges, and community areas affected by flooding.
