Inp.polri.go.id - Banda Aceh. Aceh Regional Police Chief Inspector General Marzuki Ali Basyah outlined the Indonesian National POlice (INP)’s response to the flash floods in Aceh Tamiang during a field visit with Home Affairs Minister Tito Karnavian on Monday (22/12/2025).

The briefing took place in Aceh Tamiang, where severe flooding has disrupted daily life and damaged homes and public facilities. The INP’s actions focus on emergency relief, clean water access, and early recovery for affected communities.

“From the very beginning, the INP moved quickly and in a structured manner to assist flood victims, particularly in meeting their basic needs,” Chief Marzuki said, as quoted by antaranews.com

He explained that The INp;s has established ready-to-serve public kitchens distributing meals twice daily, with production increasing from 500 portions to a target of 3,000 portions per day. Police units have also installed dozens of clean water facilities, including bore wells equipped with water tanks and generators, at mosques, health centers, and residential areas.

The Home Minister highlighted relocation plans for residents whose homes were severely damaged, while Aceh Tamiang remains the top priority for post-disaster recovery.
