Inp.polri.go.id - Banda Aceh. The National Road Implementation Agency (BPJN) confirmed on Saturday (29/11/2025) that 14 bridges and 12 sections of national roads across Aceh were cut off after days of flooding and landslides, disrupting major east, central, and west corridors.
The damage, reported in Bireuen, Pidie Jaya, and surrounding districts, has prompted a multi-agency emergency response.
“Fourteen bridges were severed as of this afternoon, and we are deploying emergency measures to restore access,” BPJN Aceh Head Heri Yugiantoro said, as cited by antaranews.com
Authorities are installing Bailey bridges, reinforcing approach roads, and clearing landslide debris.
The Ministry of Home Affairs reported that 30 tons of replacement power-line equipment have been airlifted to Aceh, while Aceh Regional Police confirmed the arrival of 2.5 tons of logistics from the Indonesian National Police (INP) Headquarters.
The province remains under a 14-day emergency status as responders race to reopen transport routes, restore electricity, and deliver aid to affected communities.
