inp.polri.go.id - Semarang. The Central Java Regional Police took several steps to anticipate community mobility towards the Christmas and New Year holidays. It is planned to hold 76 security posts in all tourist areas to provide a sense of security to tourists.
All important tourism objects in 35 regencies/cities throughout Central Java are protected without exception. The level of security based on the Micro Restriction level in each area.
The Chief of Central Java Regional Police, through the Head of Public Relations Division of Central Java Regional Police, Police Grand Commissioner Muhammad Iqbal Alqudusy, said the tourist areas targeted for security are natural tourism areas, cultural tourism and marine tourism and squares.
"For natural tourism areas, 31 security posts will be established with a total of 703 personnel. As for marine tourism, there are 18 security posts and 94 personnel. As for other tourist objects, 23 security posts are planned to be established with a strength of 917 personnel," he explained Friday (10/12/21).
Head of Public Relations Division stated that all personnel on duty at tourist attractions must enforce and discipline tourists regarding health protocols. They were starting from vaccination checks and negative COVID-19 tests.
"It's already structured. His readiness has started from the targets that must carry out for security, tourist attractions. Later it will work closely with the task force, mapping out certain places. Which areas need thickening, and which ones are slightly loosened. Of course, health protocol will be the main target," said Police Grand Commissioner Muhammad Iqbal Alqudusy.
