Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. The Air Police Directorate of the Indonesian National Police (INP) launched the AEROSAFER Food initiative on Friday (21/8/2026) to support national food security through specialized air support.

Spearheaded by Senior Superintendent Heri Setianto, the Collaborative Air Support Model combines aerial surveillance, regional mapping, and rapid response systems to protect agricultural zones in remote regions facing land transport limitations.

"Food security requires active protection and fast response systems alongside production efforts," said Chief Heri, highlighting that the initiative utilizes police aircraft and the digital AERO Support Board dashboard for real-time decision-making.

The program integrates disaster mitigation, forest fire prevention, and supply chain tracking by collaborating with the Ministry of Agriculture, the Ministry of Public Works, and local administrations. Initial operations will focus on high-priority agricultural areas like Pulang Pisau Regency in Central Kalimantan before scaling nationally to secure food production.
