Inp.polri.go.id - Minister of Economic Affairs Coordination Airlangga Hartarto  emphasized the significance of ASEAN and Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) collaboration as two emerging economic powers.

"ASEAN and GCC were envisioned as blocs of developing nations that would become new economic forces in the future," he said during the World Economic Forum (WEF)’s Special Meeting on Global Collaboration, Growth, and Energy for Development in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, on Sunday (28/4/2024).

Delegates at the forum discussed demographic growth, technological advancements, and explored collaboration potentials among regions and countries, according to antaranews.com

The international forum, held on 28-29 April 2024, brought together over a thousand global leaders and experts from various fields to address critical global issues.

The WEF meeting focused on three themes: A Compact for Inclusive Growth, Catalyzing Action on Energy for Development, and Revitalizing Global Collaboration, aiming to strengthen humanitarian initiatives and mitigate current geopolitical tensions.
