Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. The Chief of the Indonesian National Police (INP) Listyo Sigit Prabowo and the Commander of the Indonesian Military, Admiral Yudo Margono, inaugurated the Akademi Angkatan Bersenjata Republik Indonesia (Akabri) 1990's Social Assistance Programme in Jakarta on Saturday (28/10/2023). "I believe that activities like this are extremely important and beneficial for the community amid the current situation, considering the impact of the global war on oil prices, the rising dollar and the shortage of essential commodities," Chief  Sigit said. The social assistance initiative was carried out simultaneously in different regions of Indonesia through the regional police regions since last month. This initiative serves as a means for the INP to forge closer ties with the community in the current situation. It also acts as a platform for a cooling system as Indonesia approaches the upcoming democratic process. Chief Sigit said that social assistance initiative  symbolised the deepening collaboration and solidarity between the INP and the Indonesian Military "I would like to express my appreciation and congratulations for the solidarity and synergy between the INP and the Indonesian Military, especially the 1990 cohort who are conducting the programme, renovating houses, planting trees and other activities," he asserted. The police chief also praised the peaceful declaration of the election by community representatives, election organisers and interfaith prayers. The Akabri 1990 event involved the distribution of 53,645 basic necessities packages, healthcare assistance to 17,470 individuals, home renovations for 90 public and INP-Military owned buildings, repairs to two places of worship, school renovations, the planting of 1990 tree saplings, the distribution of 31,260 school supplies, clean water assistance, and the construction of bore wells at 34 locations.
