The Head of Public Relations Division of the Indonesian National Police (INP), Inspector General Sandi Nugroho, opened the Kadiv Humas Cup Shooting Competition to commemorate the 72nd anniversary of his division public relations on Saturday (28/10/2023) He said that the aim of the shooting competition was to strengthen cooperation between the police, the Press Council and the mass media. Undoubtedly, the media plays a crucial role in ensuring the transparency of the Bhayangkara Corps' performance. "INP recognizes the vital role of the mass media in providing accurate information to the public, particularly during the political year," the INP Chief  Spokesperson said during the event, which was attended by Press Council and some editors-in-chief of mass media. He highlighted the strategic partnership between the INP and the media, which has been fostered through activities such as shooting competitions. "We expect more cooperation between the INP and the mass media. This collaboration is  inedeed aimed at jointly maintaining peace and stability during the 2024 elections," said General Sandi. He said that  the 2024 elections will depend heavily on the role of the media, which will have a significant impact on the success or failure of the democratic process itself. (mg/inp/pr/nm)
