inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. The Jakarta Regional Metropolitan Police is preparing anticipatory measures to maintain smooth traffic flow to Tanjung Priok Port after Eid al-Fitr. This is in line with the potential increase in vehicle volume, particularly freight transport, after the end of operational restrictions.

A cross-sectoral coordination meeting was held in the VVIP Room of the Nusantara Pura Passenger Terminal, Tanjung Priok Port, on Thursday (3/26/2026), with representatives from the Jakarta Provincial Government, PT Pelindo, and relevant stakeholders. 

The Jakarta Regional Metropolitan Police Traffic Director, Senior Superintendent Komarudin, stated that the increase in traffic is expected to occur after March 29, 2026, when freight transport operations return to normal.

"After the 29th, freight transport mobility will increase significantly. This is what we must anticipate together," he said on Friday (3/27/2026).

He explained that the police have prepared traffic engineering and discretionary policies that will be implemented situationally, referring to the previous year's scheme with adjustments to field conditions.

"We have prepared engineering and discretionary policies. They will be implemented according to dynamics on the ground," he explained.

This measure, he said, was taken to ensure smooth public mobility and logistics distribution in the port area. The public is also advised to manage their travel times, avoid peak hours, follow the directions of officers, and use alternative routes when necessary.

"We hope the public will adjust their travel times and follow the officers' instructions to ensure traffic flow remains smooth and controlled," he said.
