inp.polri.go.id - Batam. The Riau Islands Regional Police, through its Operations Bureau, monitored the return flow of the 2026 free Eid homecoming program at the Bintang 99 Terminal in Batam on Thursday (March 26, 2026).

The activity was led by the Head of Operations of the Riau Islands Regional Police and attended by the Head of the Batam Special Operations Office (KSOP), the Head of the Class II Riau Islands Regional Transportation Agency (BPTD), the Head of the Riau Islands Jasa Raharja Regional Office, the Head of the Riau Islands Transportation Agency, the Head of Public Relations of the Riau Islands Regional Police, as well as members of the Indonesian National Military (TNI), the Indonesian National Police (INP), and relevant port stakeholders.

The Head of Operations of the Riau Islands Regional Police received a report regarding the shipping situation and the arrival of travelers from Kuala Tungkal. The ship was carrying 142 passengers participating in the Riau Islands Regional Police's free homecoming program.

The Head of Public Relations of the Riau Islands Regional Police, Senior Superintendent Pricillia Ohei stated that this activity demonstrates police's commitment, along with relevant agencies, to ensuring the safety and smoothness of the Eid al-Fitr homecoming traffic.

"The Riau Islands Regional Police, along with all stakeholders, continue to work together to provide a sense of security and comfort to the public, especially during the Eid al-Fitr homecoming traffic," said Ohei, Friday (3/27/2026).

She urged the public who need police assistance to contact the 110 Call Center or use the Polri Super Apps. Furthermore, the public was reminded not to clear land by burning, given the hot weather conditions that have the potential to trigger forest and land fires.

"We invite all elements of society to work together to protect the environment and immediately report any indications of fire," she explained.
