According to the politician, known as Gus Falah, police officers carrying out their duties must receive full legal protection.

"An attack on officers carrying out their duties is not only an attack on state officials, but also a form of resistance against the state's authority and the law enforcement system," Gus Falah said in a statement in Jakarta on Thursday (6/25/2026).

He stated that the incident constituted an attack on state officials carrying out their duties legitimately.

If such actions are allowed to continue, he continued, they could erode the rule of law and diminish the state's authority in the eyes of the public.

Therefore, he asked law enforcement officials to thoroughly investigate the case, including uncovering all parties involved and the motive behind the attack.

"Law enforcement must be carried out firmly to provide a deterrent effect and serve as a warning to anyone who attempts to resist officers with violence," Gus Falah said.
