Australian Surfer Found Dead at Grajagan Beach

Inp.polri.go.id - Banyuwangi. The Search and Rescue (SAR) teams in Banyuwangi discovered the lifeless body of an Australian national, identified as Gunther Henry Kitzler (56) at Grajagan Beach on Tuesday (4/32024).
Wahyu Setia Budi, the Coordinator of the SAR Post in Banyuwangi, said that the joint SAR team, comprised of the National Search and Rescue Agency (Basarnas), Regional Disaster Management Agency (BPBD), military, police, and local authorities, located Kitzler's body approximately 5 kilometers from the initial incident site at Grajagan Beach in the Grajagan village. "On the second day of the search, around 9 am, the joint team found the Australian tourist deceased," he said, as reported by antaranews.com. Following the discovery, Kitzler's body was transported to the nearby Blambangan Regional Hospital. "We urge the public to exercise caution when engaging in water activities, such as surfing or swimming," Wahyu asserted. Kitzler was pronounced disappeared while surfing at Grajagan Beach on Monday morning.
