A witness, by the name of Joko (a fake name for safety reasons), said that the pursuit of dr. Sunardi by the Special Detachment (Densus) 88 was really going intense and wild. Joko even said that the silver Strada Double Cabin car belonging to Dr. Sunardi had hit several other vehicles while being chased by the officers. "According to several people in the northern area (towards Mojolaban), the car was moving against the flow to the Sukoharjo city. They said the vehicle had hit a mini-van and two motorbikes, thankfully they were not seriously injured," said the man while asking the interviewee to keep his identity anonymous, Sunday (13/3/22). He just knew this fact after he had a conversation with other witnesses when they were summoned by the Sukoharjo Police. He was told that Dr. Sunardi had hit several vehicles while trying to escape from the officers. Regarding his own testimony, he was in a shop on the outskirts of the Sukoharjo-Bekonang road, along with his two friends. "I was facing the road, while two of my friends were sitting with their backs to the road," he said. "Suddenly a silver Double Cabin car passed by. I saw there were two people on top of the car holding on to the iron on the back," said Joko. According to him, two people, who were later identified to be the Densus apparatus, had shouted several times to ask the car to stop. "They were screaming while banging on the top of the car. They were struggled trying not to fall several times. Not long after that Double Cabin car passed, two other cars chased behind," added Joko. "Soon later, I heard gunshots," he said. Joko said that he did not think that the incident was an act of pursuing a terrorist suspect. "I was scared and reflexively wanted to run into the shop," he explained.
