inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. The Tanjung Priok Port Sub-regional Police are regulating the crowded ship parking area at Muara Angke Port, Penjaringan, North Jakarta.
"Regulation efforts are carried out daily to ensure ship traffic continues and public order remains conducive," said Tanjung Priok Port Sub-regional Police Chief, Superintendent Aris Wibowo, on Thursday (1/29/2026).
Aris stated that his team has coordinated with the Fisheries Port Management Unit (UPPP) of the Jakarta Maritime, Food Security, and Agriculture Agency (DKPKP) regarding the crowded ship parking area.
Based on the coordination, the Muara Angke Port basin currently covers an area of approximately 1,200 square meters with an ideal capacity of approximately 1,000 vessels.
"However, in reality, the number of vessels docked has reached 2,564," said Aris.
He explained that this imbalance has resulted in crowded docks and hampered ship movement.
Meanwhile, the main problem faced by fishing vessel operators is the overcrowding of vessels, which far exceeds the port's basin capacity.
