Bali Deploys 5,000 Police for World Water Forum Security

Inp.polri.go.id - Denpasar. As many as  5,000 officers of the Bali Regional Police have been prepared to secure the 10th World Water Forum (WWF). 

Bali Police Chief Inspector General Ida Bagus Kade Putra Narendra confirmed their preparation during a national committee coordination meeting at BICC, Nusa Dua, on Saturday (20/4/2024).

The coordination meeting, chaired by Coordinating Minister Luhut Pandjaitan, included key figures like Minister of Tourism and Creative Economy Sandiaga Salahuddin Uno, Indonesian Military Commander General Agus Subiyanto, Indonesian National Police (INP) Chief General Listyo Sigit, Minister of Public Works and Public Housing Basuki Hadimuljono, and Minister of Home Affairs Tito Karnavian.

Scheduled from 18 to 25 May 2024, the forum will host 33 heads of state and the European Union President, demanding stringent security measures, according to antaranews.com.

The  Operation Tri Brata Agung 2024 will prioritize preemptive and preventive actions, with a focus on law enforcement, cyber security, and public relations. 

Security efforts will span from delegations' arrivals at Ngurah Rai Airport to event venues and tourist sites. 

The Bali Police will be backed by the INP headquarters, East Java Regional Police and West Nusa Tenggara Regional Police.
