In preparation for the upcoming elections, the Bali Regional Police conducted a pre-operational training (Latpraops) at the Perkasa Raga Garwita Building on Saturday (10/14/23). This was done to enhance the competence and capabilities of personnel, enabling them to carry out election security duties optimally
Police Senior Superintendent Soelistijono, Chief of the Operations Bureau of Bali Regional Police, explained that in the lead-up to the 2024 Elections, various political parties are expected to engage in campaign activities, potentially leading to disruptions that could create a less conducive public order situation. Hence, there is a need to anticipate any developing situations during the 2003-2024 electoral process.
"The Bali Regional Police force is an integral component of the INP, entrusted with the responsibility of establishing a secure environment. We operate in synergy with other law enforcement partners to ensure the security of every phase of the 2024 election process in the province of Bali," he affirmed.
The pre-election security measures have garnered significant attention from the Chief of Bali Regional Police. This commitment is outlined in the Chief's directive, with the aim of achieving Harmony in Law Enforcement and Public Order, conducting a comprehensive vulnerability assessment of the 2024 Election area, and implementing measures to enhance a stable security environment leading up to the 2024 Election.
"Given the paramount importance of maintaining a stable public order situation to secure all stages of the election, I urge all personnel to approach this exercise with utmost seriousness and dedication. Each member is equipped with the necessary insights and guidelines to execute their duties on the ground, adhering to established procedures and fostering synergy among task forces," he emphasized.
He expressed his optimism that the implementation of Operation Mantap Brata Agung 2023-2024 will proceed smoothly, enabling the Bali Police to make a substantial contribution to safeguarding the 2024 elections.
"Execute this operation with a profound sense of responsibility, ensuring that assigned tasks are carried out with the highest level of proficiency, guided by existing laws and regulations," he concluded.
