Inp.polri.go.id - Denpasar. The Bali Regional Police Food Task Force conducted impromptu inspections across Denpasar's distribution network on Wednesday (9/9/2026) following national rice price increases.
Joint inspections targeted traditional markets, modern retailers, distributors, and rice mills, including Toko Sinar shop at Kreneng Market, Grand Lucky supermarket, Distributor Sumber Pangan, and UD Padma Sari, to verify stock levels and prevent prices from exceeding official limits.
"Police and relevant agencies monitored price movements directly to ensure market availability," said Bali Police Head of Public Relations Senior Superintendent Ariasandy, noting nationwide price increases of 0.08% for premium rice and 0.16% for medium rice as of Tuesday.
Led by Police Food Task Force Team Lead Senior Superintendent Jon Wesly Arianto, officers audited supply chains to prevent price manipulation and distribution bottlenecks. Chair Ariasandy warned that violators face strict penalties ranging from written warnings to business license revocations.
