Bali Regional Police Intensify Election Security Post-Voting Day in Klungkung

Inp.polri.go.id – Bali. Bali Regional Police Chief, Inspector General Ida Bagus Putra Narendra inspects ballot security in Klungkung Sub-District Election Committee (PPK) on Saturday (2/17/2024). The focus and aim of the inspection was to ensure the ballot boxes that were stored in Klungkung PPK warehouses, particularly in Nusa Penida, are safe after the vote. Police Senior Superintendent Jansen Avitus Panjaitan, the PR Chief of Bali Regional Police, explains that the inspection was to ensure that the Indonesian National Police (INP) tasked for the security are carrying out their duties accordingly and excellently. “As of now, the security for the ballot warehouses have become our main priority. Bali Regional Police also has patrolled and stationed its personnel in strategic locations to prevent potential threats or disturbances throughout logistics movement,” said Jansen. Moreover, the PR Chief also emphasized the importance of public active role in reporting incidents or suspicious activities that threaten election integrity.
