Inp.polri.go.id - Denpasar. The Head of the Public Order Agency (Satpol PP) in Bali, Nyoman Rai Dharmadi, has summoned the management of the airport taxi cooperative at I Gusti Ngurah Rai Airport to appear for questioning on Monday (8/1/2024) in response to an incident involving a taxi driver brandishing a sharp weapon, threatening two foreign tourists. "We do summon the cooperative management managing the Ngurah Rai Airport taxi service for supervision to prevent incident like the one that occurred recently," he said on Sunday. Dharmadi emphasized that the presence of the cooperative's management at the Bali Public Order Agency's office was not only to uphold their commitment to overseeing their members but also to address the proper use of vehicles in transporting tourists, antaranews.com reported. The Bali Public Order Agency, along with the Transportation Agency, has visited the office of the Management of the I Gusti Ngurah Rai Airport Taxi Cooperative to assess the condition of the fleet known to be used by the taxi driver involved in threatening the foreign tourists. It was revealed that the taxi owner, identified as KT, had a vehicle that was no longer registered due to exceeding the 10-year operational limit, with the car being manufactured in 2012.  It was also found that he had not renewed the tax payment since 2022.
