Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. The Hotel and Restaurant Association of Indonesia (PHRI) in Jakarta appreciated the Indonesian National Police (INP) security measures the Christmas and New Year celebrations, which contributed to tourism and hospitality sector in the capital.
Soetrisno Iwantono, Chairman of PHRI Jakarta, said that the security measures during Year End holiday was crucial for supporting the growth of the tourism sector.
"This year, the INP have been successful in maintaining the security during Year End holidays. There were no critical moments during this Christmas, which caused concerns for the business world," he said over the weekend, saying that occupancy reaching 80-100 percent during the holiday season.
Meanwhile, Shinta Widjaja Kamdani, the Chairwoman of the Indonesian Employers' Association (Apindo), identified several business sectors with substantial profit potential during the holiday season. These include tourism, hospitality, restaurants, cafes, entertainment centers, and retail.
"These business sectors are the ones that stand to gain the most during the Nataru season. Retail, transportation services, information and communication, as well as courier services, will also experience a boost in revenue," she said,
