Inp.polri.go.id - Lampung. The Bandarlampung City Sub-RegionalPolice have affirmed their readiness to oversee the transfer of logistics for the 2024 elections from the General Elections Commission (KPU) warehouses to the sub-district election committees (PPK).
Police Senior Superintendent Abdul Waras, Chief of Bandarlampung Sub-Regional City Police, stated on Sunday (4/2/2024), "We have received instructions from Police General Listyo Sigit Prabowo to support and ensure the completion and safety of the election logistics,"
To enhance the security of election logistics, the Bandarlampung Police ensured effective escorting, and vehicle mobilization is underway to facilitate smoother logistics movement.
"I convey the PPK members' wishes, suggesting that logistics distribution shouldn't linger with them. It's better to store it in the KPU warehouse initially and shift it closer to the voting day," he explained.
Chief Abdul noted that shifting logistics closer to the voting day is acceptable, as after mapping, it was found that the farthest polling place (TPS) in the city is only in Panjang.
"After mapping, Panjang is the only distant location. Distributing logistics closer to the voting day is not an issue. Our focus remains on securing the three KPU warehouses storing logistics," he concluded.
