Inp.polri.go.id - Bandung. The Bandung Prosecutor’s Office has named Deputy Mayor Erwin a suspect in an alleged 2025 corruption scheme involving the misuse of authority in the city administration.

“Based on sufficient evidence, investigators have elevated the case and designated two suspects: Erwin and Rendiana Awangga,” Chief Prosecutor Irfan Wibowo said on Wednesday (10/12/2025), as quoted by antaranews.com.

Prosecutors allege both suspects abused their power by requesting procurement packages and public works projects that benefited affiliated parties. 

“They are suspected of seeking procurement and work packages that provided unlawful advantages to connected individuals,” Irfan said, as quoted by antaranews.com.

The investigation remains ongoing, with prosecutors opening the possibility of additional suspects as more witnesses are examined. Irfan added that neither suspect has been detained because detentions involving regional leaders require prior approval from the Ministry of Home Affairs under Indonesian law.
