Inp.polri.go.id - Bandung.  The Bandung City Sub-regional Police deployed 1,300 personnel to secure the match between Persib Bandung and Persija Jakarta at Si Jalak Harupat Stadium, Bandung Regency, West Java, at 3 pm local time on Saturday (9/3/2024). Although the match is held without spectators, Bandung Police Chief Senior Superintendent Kusworo Wibowo, said that the personnel would be stationed at various points inside and outside Si Jalak Harupat Stadium. These personnel include members of the military, police, transportation agency, and public order officers, as reported by antaranews.com The security mechanism involves closely escorting both teams, from the hotel to the match venue. "During the match, security personnel will continue to secure the area until the match ends," said Chief Kusworo. To anticipate supporters who might try to enter the stadium area, the entrance gates, including the north, middle, and south gates, will be tightly guarded by personnel and stewards from the organizing committee. "They will certainly not be allowed to enter. We will direct them to return. Even if they enter the Si Jalak Harupat Stadium gate, they will not be able to access the stands because the stand doors will be locked," Chief Kusworo asserted. He urged all Persib Bandung supporters, known as Bobotoh, to watch the match on television at their respective homes. The Discipline Commission Hearing has decided earlier this month that the Persib Bandung vs. Persija Jakarta match would be held without spectators. (mg/inp/pr/nm)
