Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta.  The National Search and Rescue Agency (Basarnas) of Jakarta continued their search for the Taiwanese victim of the capsized KM Pari Kudus ship in the waters of Thousand Islands. Desiana Kartika Bahari, the Head of Basarnas Jakarta, stated that the joint team is actively involved in the search effort. "Today marks the second day of our search for the missing victims. We've divided our team into three groups to cover more ground," she said on Tuesday (12/3/2024), as reported by antaranews.com. The joint team has been provided with specific coordinates to aid in locating the missing Taiwanese man. A diving team equipped with underwater sonar devices has been deployed to search beneath the water's surface. "Our efforts remain focused on locating these missing individuals," Desiana emphasized. Previously, Agung Priambodo, the Head of Operations at Basarnas Jakarta, mobilized seven ships to assist in the search. These vessels, along with personnel from various agencies including Basarnas, the Navy, the police, and local fire departments, combed the waters around Rambut Island, where the incident occurred. Asha Resort's boats have also joined the search efforts, demonstrating a collaborative approach in the ongoing mission to locate and rescue the missing victims. (mg/inp/pr/nm)
