Inp.polri.go.id - Banda Aceh. The National Search and Rescue Agency (Basarnas) evacuated  German and Russian passengers who fell ill aboard the Mein Schiff 6 cruise ship near Aceh.

The passengers, identified as Herbert Ronalda (86) from Germany and Yulia (43) from Russia, were en route from Port Klang, Malaysia, to Africa when they required medical evacuation.

“Herbert had hypertension and diabetes, while Yulia, who is 15 weeks pregnant, was experiencing nosebleeds,” said Basarnas Banda Aceh Chief Ibnu Harris Al Hussain on Sunday (11/5/2025), as quoted by antaranews.com.

The KN Kresna 323 SAR vessel helped the cruise ship about 7.31 nautical miles northwest of Ulee Lheue Port, near Weh Island. Both patients were examined onboard by health authorities before being transferred.

They were transported to Zainoel Abidin General Hospital  for further treatment.
