Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. The National Search and Rescue Agency (Basarnas) on Sunday (28/12/2025) reported the third day of search operations for four Spanish citizens missing after a tourist boat accident near Padar Island, Labuan Bajo, East Nusa Tenggara.
West Manggarai Barat Search and Rescue (SAR) Post Coordinator Edy Suryono said search teams found several items believed to belong to the vessel.
“We located life jackets and wooden parts of the boat south of the incident site and confirmed them with the captain,” he said, as quoted by antaranews.com.
The victims, identified as a father and his three children, went missing after the tourist boat KM Putri Sakinah ship sank on Friday. Joint SAR teams searched up to nine nautical miles south and five nautical miles north of the location, supported by professional divers and coordination with nearby islands and local fishermen.
Basarnas confirmed the search area will be expanded on the fourth day, involving maritime police, the navy, port authorities, and multiple rescue vessels.
