Inp.polri.go.id – Jakarta. The Election Supervisory Body recommends 780 polling stations for repeat vote, while 132 polling stations recommended for continued vote recapitulation, and 584 other polling stations are recommended for follow-up voting.
“The recommendations are released to safeguard the purity of voters vote right and voting in polling stations, the purity of ballots, and the purity of election vote recapitulation,” said member of Bawaslu Lolly Suhenty on Wednesday (2/21/2024).
In total, Bawaslu released recommendation for 1,496 polling stations which could be done at least ten days after the election voting day on February 14th, 2024.
Lolly explains that the recommendations was released based on research and review of Bawaslu member as was constituted in Article 80, 109, and 110 of General Election Commission (PKPU) Regulation Number 25 of 2023 concerning Voting and Counting Votes in General Elections.
According to her, most issue that forced Bawaslu to release the recommendations are the accommodation of voters who does not have electric ID Card or certificate, as well as not being registered on the Permanent Voter List (DPT) and Additional Voter List (DPTb) for the 2024 Election.
“There are voters who owned electric ID Card who votes not according to their domicile, there are also Additional Voter List who got the ballot not according to form, and there were voters who voted more than once," explained Member Lolly.
Meanwhile, for the recommendation for continued vote recapitulation is due to riots, security disturbances, natural disaster, and other disturbances causing the recapitulation halted.
On the other hand, follow-up voting recommendation also due to security disturbances causing the process to be halted.
