inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. President Prabowo Subianto conveyed the government's commitment to implementing zero-defect standards and ensuring equitable distribution of beneficiaries to the Free Nutritional Meal Program (MBG) starting in 2026.

He received a report that the MBG program has reached 55 million beneficiaries since its implementation on January 6, 2025.

Prabowo stated that the MBG program is a strategic step to intervene in pressing nutrition issues.

Based on preliminary government data, President Prabowo stated, an average of one in five Indonesian children (20%) suffers from malnutrition, with this figure reaching 30% in some regions, resulting in stunting and abnormal physical growth.

Despite claiming a statistical success rate of 99.99 percent, the President did not ignore shortcomings and irregularities in the field.

He emphasized that in large-scale humanitarian operations, operational challenges are normal, but they should not be taken for granted.

"Of course, we hope for zero defects. That's what we must achieve," he said.

President Prabowo stated that supervision and security measures will continue to be tightened to ensure complete distribution.

He also touched on the skepticism that arose at the beginning of the program, with many experts doubting the success of the MBG.

"They said the MBG was doomed to fail, but we proved it to them: the MBG is successful and anticipated by the entire nation," he concluded.
