inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. President Prabowo Subianto stated that President Alexander Lukashenko's state visit to Indonesia is an important opportunity to strengthen friendly relations and open up opportunities for broader cooperation between Indonesia and Belarus.

He expressed his appreciation for President Lukashenko's second visit to Indonesia, more than 13 years after his first. He stated that the presence of the Belarusian President is an honor for the Indonesian government and people.

"It is an honor for the Republic of Indonesia, for the Indonesian people, and for me personally to welcome His Excellency on this second visit to Indonesia. More than 13 years ago, Your Excellency visited the Republic of Indonesia, and now Your Excellency is returning to Indonesia," greets President Prabowo on Thursday (7/2/2026).

President Prabowo also recalled the warm welcome he received during his visit to Minsk, Belarus, in 2025. He said the established good relations are the foundation for strengthening the partnership between the two countries.

"This visit signifies the increasingly close friendship between Indonesia and Belarus," said President Prabowo.

On the occasion, he emphasized the importance of strengthening bilateral relations between Indonesia and Belarus. President Prabowo stated that he would make a reciprocal visit as part of efforts to maintain continuity of communication at the head of state level.

He believes the meeting between the two leaders will result in more concrete cooperation in various fields and provide direct benefits to the people of both countries.

"I am also confident that this momentum will further strengthen the Indonesia-Belarus partnership and open up opportunities for broader cooperation with tangible results that benefit the welfare and prosperity of our two peoples," said President Prabowo.
