inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. The Head of the National Nutrition Agency (BGN), Dadan Hindayana, appreciated the steps taken by the police in establishing the Nutrition Fulfillment Service Unit (SPPG) to support the Free Nutritious Meals (MBG) program. According to him, the police SPPG facilities, such as those built in Pejaten, South Jakarta, have very good standards and facilities.

Dadan said that the police SPPG has met the four main standards set by BGN, namely meeting calorie needs, nutritional composition, hygiene, and food safety.

"I am very happy because the facilities have proper quality and have met the four main standards," said the Head of BGN at the police SPPGs, Pejaten, South Jakarta on Monday (3/17/2025).

He explained that before being distributed to schools, food from the police SPPG had gone through a strict inspection process by nutritionists. In addition, the distribution equipment owned was also considered very good.

"Before the food is sent, everything is checked by experts. That way, we can guarantee that the foods have met the health standards," said the Head of BGN.

He also expressed his hope that cooperation between the police and BGN can continue to be improved. He even hopes that the number of SPPGs built by the police can increase to 1,000 units throughout Indonesia.

"Earlier we heard that the Indonesian National Police had planned to build 542 SPPGs. I honestly wished that it could reach up to a 1,000," said the Head of BGN jokingly.

According to the Dadan, support from the police will accelerate the coverage of MBG to 82.9 million people.
