Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. The National Nutrition Agency (BGN) is constructing 8,200 Nutrition Service Units (SPPG) in remote areas to ensure equitable distribution of the Free Nutritious Meal (MBG) program.

“We have identified 8,200 SPPG in remote regions that will be built, with 4,700 in progress and around 170 to be completed by December 2025,” BGN Head Dadan Hindayana said on Wednesday (3/12/2025), as reported by antaranews.com.

The new facilities aim to expand service coverage for nearly three million beneficiaries in remote communities, while the greater challenge lies in urban agglomeration areas with far denser populations. BGN expects about 20,000 SPPG in agglomeration zones plus remote units to be fully operational by March or April 2026, enabling the program to reach 82.9 million people nationwide.

The MBG program has already served 47.2 million beneficiaries. President Prabowo Subianto recently highlighted its milestone of producing over two billion nutritious meals, exceeding the initial projection of 1.8 billion portions.
