Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. The Indonesian National Police (INP) deployed psychological counselors to Adiankoting, North Tapanuli, on Wednesday (3/12/2025) to deliver trauma-healing sessions for children affected by recent floods and landslides.
“This program ensures that children receive proper emotional support as they cope with the psychological impact of the disaster,” North Sumatra Regional Police Head of Public Relations Senior Superintendent Ferry Walintukan said, as cited by antaranewes.com.
The sessions, held at the HKBP Sibalanga Church evacuation post, guide children to express their feelings, share their experiences, and gradually rebuild their sense of safety. Counselors also conducted educational games, group singing, interactive activities, and coloring competitions to restore comfort and confidence.
Chief Ferry stressed that officers will remain present to assist communities through the post-disaster period and help children regain emotional stability.
