Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. The National Nutrition Agency (BGN) has addressed public misconceptions regarding incentive payments for partners of the Nutrition Fulfillment Service Units (SPPG) under the Free Nutritious Meal (MBG) program.

Deputy Head of BGN, Insp. Gen. (ret).Sony Sanjaya, clarified on Saturday (21/2026) that operational payments are calculated based on a six-day work week, confirming that no incentives are paid for Sundays.

"On national holidays that fall on weekdays, incentives are paid based on the principle of 'standby readiness,'" he explained. "Even when students are off, the facilities, oversight systems, and specialists must remain operational for emergency nutritional interventions."

Sony cited the late-2025 floods in Aceh and Sumatra as examples where food SPPG kitchen units were repurposed into emergency kitchens, as reported by antaranews.com.

He further dismissed allegations of political favoritism in partner selection, emphasizing that any entity, including cooperatives or village-owned enterprises, can apply if they meet the rigorous $150,000–$350,000 investment requirement and strict hygiene standards.

He said that BGN maintains a zero-tolerance policy for safety violations, asserting that technical compliance is the sole metric for contract evaluation to ensure fiscal transparency and child welfare.
