Inp.polri.go.id - Bandung. The National Nutrition Agency (BGN) has suspended the Free Nutritious Meal (MBG) program after 301 students in Cipongkor, West Bandung, suffered suspected food poisoning on Monday.
The suspension aims to allow a full evaluation of food safety standards by the Nutrition Service Unit (SPPG) kitchens..
“I have inspected the SPPG kitchen. The facility is actually good, but there may have been negligence. That is what requires comprehensive correction. I have ordered a temporary halt,” said BGN Head Dadan Hindayana on Tuesday (23/9/3035), as reported by antaranews.com.
Authorities revealed the SPPG in Cipongkor is a new facility that began cooking for large groups instead of gradually scaling operations. BGN also instructed stricter compliance with hygiene, equipment standards, and sourcing ingredients only from certified suppliers.
