Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. The owner of PT Blueray Cargo, John Field, surrendered to the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) in Jakarta early Saturday (7/2/2026), ending his brief status as a fugitive.
He is one of six suspects named in a high-profile bribery and gratification case involving the illegal importation of counterfeit goods through Indonesia’s Directorate General of Customs and Excise.
"Early this morning, the suspect JF, who is the owner of PT BR, surrendered himself to the KPK," said KPK Spokesperson Budi Prasetyo during a press briefing as reported by antaranews.com.
The surrender follows a 4 February 2026 sting operation that led to the arrest of 17 individuals. Among those detained are senior officials including Rizal, the former Director of Prosecution and Investigation, and Sisprian Subiaksono, the Sub-director of Intelligence. Investigators allege the private firm bribed officials to facilitate illicit imports. While five other suspects were detained immediately,
Field had initially evaded capture during the initial raids.
