inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. The National Narcotics Agency (BNN) stated that collaboration with the Association of Village Consultative Body Members (PABPDSI) strengthens village communities' resilience against the threat of drugs.

BNN Head, Suyudi Ario Seto, stated that villages play a strategic role because they are the governmental elements closest to the community.

"The involvement of all elements of the nation in protecting the younger generation from the threat of drugs is also crucial to support the realization of Golden Indonesia 2045," said Suyudi on Wednesday (6/17/2026).

BNN and PABPDSI have strengthened their collaboration in efforts to Prevent and Eradicate Narcotics Abuse and Illicit Trafficking (P4GN) through the signing of a memorandum of understanding some time ago.

The memorandum of understanding was signed by the Head of BNN and the Chairman of PABPDSI, Fery Radiansyah, as a strategic step to strengthen collaboration in realizing a Drug-Free Indonesia (Bersinar) down to the village level.

Fery stated his organization's readiness to support various BNN programs, even in remote villages. With approximately 570,000 Village Consultative Body (BPD) members spread across Indonesia, PABPDSI is committed to optimizing the role of its members in supporting the Desa Bersinar movement.

Through the signing of the MoU, BNN hopes that the collaboration can be a concrete step in strengthening village community resilience against the threat of drugs.
