inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. Head of the National Disaster Management Agency (BNPB) Disaster Data, Information and Communication Center, Abdul Muhari, revealed that BNPB is preparing to conduct weather modification operations to handle the flooding that occurred in the Greater Jakarta area.

"The weather modification operation was carried out today. Indeed last Saturday and Sunday were the heaviest rain in the last three weeks" he said, as reported by the RRI, on Monday (7/7/2025).

Abdul appealed to the community to also diligently clean the gutters in their environment. So that there will be no increase in water discharge and smoothen the channels.

BNPB has prepared one Cessna aircraft for weather modification operations. BNPB also continues to coordinate with the Meteorology, Geophysics and Meteorology Agency to see the weather forecast.
