inp.polri.go.id - East Flores. Following high volcanic activity, the Indonesian National Police (INP) mobilized their assigned medical unit to help the affected people.
Led by Second Police Inspector Pius Pala, his team was assigned to provide medical service to the people of Boru Village. However, ash rain and thunderous sounds forced them to evacuate to Larantuka, struggling to cross the congested and dusty roads.
On the other hand, the medical team at the Konga Post, Second Police Brigadier Rahmat O. Rosnah, Second Police Brigadier Deby C. H. Feek, and Second Police Brigadier Gilbert Puling remained resilient with only a little ash reaching their area. They continued to carry out their health service duties non-stop, ensuring that people continued to receive attention in the midst of difficult situations.
For their dedication, the East Nusa Tenggara Regional Police sing their praise to their medical team.
“Our team in Boru has to be evacuated due to the difficult situation at the field. However, in Konga Post, the medical health service remains continuing due to its relatively modest situation. I am truly amazed by their dedication,” said the East Nusa Tenggara (NTT) Regional Police Medical Unit Chief, Superintendent Hery Purwanto.
On the other hand, through his spokesperson, NTT Regional Police Chief Inspector General Rudi Darmoko was impressed by their spirit and dedication.
“Amidst the high volcanic activity, they continue to be present for the people. This shows the real action of police in helping the people,” says Rudi, impressed.
The NTT Regional Police continue to coordinate with the Lewotobi Volcano Observation Post, BPBD, and the local government to ensure the safety of people as a top priority. All medical personnel are on standby, ready to move at any time to help the community in the midst of the eruption crisis.
