inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. The National Counterterrorism Agency (BNPT) assures and handles the preparation of security posts and personnel ahead of the Indonesian Independence Day in Nusantara Capital City (IKN).

The Deputy I of Prevention, Protection, and Deradicalization Roedy Widodo says that the monitoring and supervising for the post and personnel preparation have been held from August 6th to 8th.

“We have checked the posts such as the main post in IKN and several tactical posts installed by prevention and deradicalization intelligence or the Community Development Subtask Force," said Deputy Roedy, Friday (8/9/24).

He has also reported various tasks from security operations that have been carried out by BNPT to the Regional Military Commander VI/ Mulawarman and East Kalimantan Regional Police Chief. Such tasks include coordinating various prevention efforts on potential radical and terrorism threats and coordinating tasks on overcoming terrorism that have been given by East Kalimantan security coordinator.

When closing the security preparation activities, BNPT also coordinated and exchanged information with various authorities regarding IKN.

“Coordination was held with various IKN officials regarding various residences that have been assessed," concluded Deputy Roedy.
